Jay Parker's Testimony:

I am alive and well!  Thanks be to our healing Jesus!!

For a few previous months I had experienced some stomach problems off and

on, which I had self-diagnosed as gas build up.  Well, on Sunday the 17th of

December, after a busy day I began having pain in my stomach, chills and

fever.  I went to the Emergency where I was diagnosed with acute pancreatic.

My temp was over 105 degrees; my enzyme count was 27,000 where normal

count is 200.  I was jaundiced, my white blood cell count being low and I had

two different strains of bacteria in my blood.  They packed ice around me

trying to get the fever down and called in two more doctors.  After taking

blood tests, ex-rays, and going through other procedures the doctors where

very blunt in telling my family that the next three hours were crucial as to

whether I would live or not.  Never had they seen anyone live with an enzyme

count like mine or near what mine was.  With needles and tubes attached with

six or seven medications going into me the ER nurse was getting ready to take

me to critical care when she asked if she could pray with us.  She prayed the

most beautiful prayer.  Asking Great Physician to take over when the doctors

and the nurses had done all they could do. Yes, we called our Pastors and our

church family to pray and pray they did.  We had family calling and putting us

on prayer chains all around the country.  Thank the Lord for people of

prayer.  I was told I could have no water of food for seven days because it

would continue to damage the pancreas, which was already inflamed and

swollen which affected my liver.  My gall bladder had stones in it and needed

to be removed, but surgery was not possible for seven days.  On Tuesday,

December 19th two days after I was admitted into the hospital my enzyme

count was down to 1500, my blood pressure was 54/41 before but came back

up to 123/70, and the jaundice was on it's way out.  The surgeon came in on

that afternoon and after reading my chart and seeing the improved numbers

said, "If you can eat dinner tonight without any pain or problems he would

schedule surgery for four o'clock on Wednesday".  He commented over and

over how amazed he was that I was alive to do surgery on.  The surgery took

place on Wednesday and went well.  They removed my gall bladder.  On

Friday at noon I was dismissed to go home.  I was sent home with pain

medication to take as needed.  The bottle has never been opened!!!  Two weeks later on

January 3rd I went to the doctor's office for a post surgery check up.  When the doctor came

in the room where I was setting he said, "Here's the man that came back from the dead."  He

gave me clean bill of  health and said, "I don't need to see you again".

To God be the Glory!!!!

 Ray Yekel,

In 1976 I had a heart attack that was so bad they couldn't operate on me in

the V.A hospital.  So from there I was in a critical care center.  From there the

Lord healed me of any complications linked to my heart attack.

Ray Yekel,

Later in 1982 a letter was written by J.L. Montgomery, M.D. it reads

To whom it may concern:

This patient (Ray Yekels) was operated on the 4th of January 1982 for cancer

of the stomach.  The tumor itself was quite small, but regrettably the cancer

had already spread to the local lymph nodes and the prognosis is accordingly

poor.  The patient and his wife understand the gravity of the situation.  He was

determined to try and work, and I am surprised that he was able to do so.  I

have asked that he stop work and on a limited basis try to enjoy his remaining

time.  I have asked that he apply for the proper assistance, and please contact

me if you need any more information.

Very truly yours,

J.L. Montgomery, M.D.

Prayer is our link with God, an awesome avenue through which we can express praise and adoration to Him for His goodness, love, and mercy; and an avenue through which we can voice our petitions and concerns. God's Word assures us that we can "come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).

Prayer also moves the hand of God on behalf of needs and circumstances in our church, our families, our community, nation, and world. Take time to pray and intercede for these areas as God leads you. Become part of a prayer group and intercede with others in times of corporate prayer. As you seek God's help, expect reports of great victory to follow as God answers prayer.
